MARYLAND SCHOOL & GOVERNMENT INFORMATION
Look below for links to many of the school systems and county governments in Central Maryland in the area. Please feel free to suggest any additional sites you think others might want to have access to. GreatSchools.com is a great site that parents and teachers are always updating and rating schools. The Maryland State Department of Education is a good site to start at as well. Maryland has consistently been ranked at the top nationally for its schools. For the second straight year, Maryland’s public education system received number one in 2010 from Education Week; the College Board for Advanced Placement performance; and, once again, Newsweek for the highest percentage of rigorous high schools in America. We should all be truly proud for these consistent and remarkable accomplishments.Maryland’s unemployment has always been below that of the national average. I have been living in Maryland all my life. I have had the opportunity to travel to many states and outside of our great country. I must say that this area we live in is one of the best.
